Bias probe newbie question?

    It breaks the plate connection and brings both leads out so you can plug into a current meter, from what I saw. So you have the plate right there in your current meter, and can measure from one of those leads to ground to get plate voltage, easy.

    I use the winding resistance method as well, it’s more accurate and reliable than the shunt method, which can give inaccurate results due to the variable and usually unknown internal resistance of your meter.

    Get the version with voltage reading also. Or just buy a simple probe for $15
