I wanted to get y'all's take on the best reverb pedal on the market, I have heard good things about the Hall o Fame and Digitec's Hardwired series. Discuss.

maybe want the stompboxes sub forum rather than the Stompboxes owners clubs?

I know.. some threads could easily go in either..

For spring, hard to beat the Boss 63 Fender FRV-1. Hall of Fame is also a good one with obviously a lot more versatility. The stock spring isn't great, but the downloadable spring tone prints are very good. Hall and plate modes are excellent IMO. I also like the ambient mode for just enough effect to open up a boxy amp without an obvious reverb effect. Back to tone prints, there's a lot of very cool ones in there, some of which mix in other effects, like tremelo and flange. It's too bad you can only download one at a time. It would be nice to have at least 5 toneprints to toggle between. My guess is that subsequent models will improve on that.

Boss FRV-1 for spring for me and I love it, but sounds like the Digitech Hardwire is really special across the board ... I just have not tried one yet.

I picked up a Boss FRV-1 today and couldn't be happier. I don't want a million presets. Looks like a good fit for me. Thanks for your opinion guys.

    Ghost Echo

Tried a EHX Holy Grail, Holier Grail (very good)

I bought a TC Hall of Fame (very good) sold it.

The Strymon is reputed to be awesome

I still have a vintage Premier Reverb 90 (for sale -modified to be much quieter)

My selection for best is the Earthquaker Devices Ghost Echo.

Keeping it. I might buy another one so I can leave one at church. It has enough of that vintage slap echo in the return mix that I got to pull the echo pedal off the board.

Fuchs Verbrator. Stomps anything I have ever used, including spring.

I like the "Wet" pedal too.

It's a great sounding pedal that is purposely not trying to emulate spring reverb, but sounds phenemonal in its own right.

Reverb pedals differ enough in the small (and sometimes not-so-small) details that it'd be worth your while to try what you can find and buy the one that best tickles your ear.

I have a TC Nova Reverb that I really like, and an Eventide Space that I really like even more. It all depends on what you're looking for, obviously. I like to have different reverbs for different things, so the presets on the Eventide work well for me. Plus, the parameters of the reverbs (including the spring reverbs) are tweakable up the wazoo, and I really like that as well.
