Once I decide I want one it's not too long until I figure out how to get it. So usually just because is my excuse. Currently I'm wrestling with getting the perfect telecaster.

...there was a fly in my soup. So I sent it back and got a Tele instead.

Yes. Might I recommend a Benedetto Bambino Deluxe...? (I have no connection to the company, but love the guitar).

Yes, a Benedetto Bambino Deluxe would be most excellent, I settled for a Benedetto pickup.

Really, the Hofner is quite nice, excellent neck, I did rewire though. Based on this guitar I wouldn't hesitate on a German Verythin.

The color put me off at first, I've always loathed the Gibson transparent red, but this is a different shade, more of a woody-earthy red that compliments the figure in the sides and back. The tail piece and fretboard look like ebony but probably aren't. . .but maybe.

They are selling the stands, not the guitars. They just put the guitars on them to keep them from blowing away.

RIGHT! As a matter-of-fact, the sooner you get one, the better-off you will be.
    Trust me!

I just thought of one yesterday. I want to compare string gauges side by side, so I think I need three or four Bajas so I can compare them.

    Think that will fly?

One for each day of the week does not seem unreasonable.

Only one guitar for each day of the week seems VERY unreasonable to me. That won't even cover the basics.

If it plays as nice as it looks, you should be OK. The real question is about that pesky Gmaj7

pesky Gmaj7 and A11 are now doable, even fun. To be fair that acoustic I was trying to play chord-melody stuff with has a pretty narrow nut.

Finally got a chance to plug it in after the rewire and I think it sounds and plays better than it looks, maybe its all the Benedettol/Duncan A6 but it sounds exactly like I was hoping which is some sort of first for me. Hofner's may become a fetish.

1.) You already have one, but this one is a little different.
2.) You don't have one like it yet.
3.) You have one just like it, but this is a good deal.
4.) You never heard of one like it.
5.) You have always wanted one just like it.
6.) It is better than buying another muscle car.
7.) You deserve it for putting up with all that cra*-ola.
8.) It needs an owner who appreciates how cool it really is.
9.) It will be worth more someday.
10.) It just needs a few tweaks and then it will rock.
11.) They are going to throw me outta here if I don't buy something.
12.) I already have the right case for this.
13.) My card still has a few bucks left.
14.) They don't know what they got here.
15.) It could be fake, but for this price, who cares.
16.) I drove all the way here, I may as well get it anyway.
17.) I can sell it later/send it back if I don't like it.
18.) I like the way it feels.
    19. I like the way it looks.
20.) I like the way it sounds/plays/smells, etc.
21.) I need it for alternate tunings
    22.) I don't need a reason, I just want it.

The only excuse I need is that I'm buying one.

Then I just need to get the cash.

The best excuse for a new guitar is...you're not dead yet.

    But archtop jazz box?

    Nah.

Another Tele, a good Martin and/or Gibson acoustic, a funkadelicious thang such as a resonant 12-string, a baritone with a Bigsby, a sweet Strat, a crisp snare, a ringing cowbell--these would be much better.

And THEN an archtop jazz box.

    BECAUSE IT'S A GUITAR.
