The Dallas Cowboys had an offensive lineman in the '80s named "Titensor"...

...I bet nobody made fun of him.

On a related note, a group from the dealership where I worked went to a chinese restaraunt for lunch one day.

One of the girls commented on the "cute little waiter" serving us.

When it came her turn to order, she asked if he had "Kuma Sum Yung Gai"!

He didn't get it...and we were rolling on the floor!

It's well known that the flushing toilet was perfected by Thomas Crapper (true) and it is also reported that the bra, in its modern form as a garment to support a lady's bosom, was invented by one Otto Titzling.

Sadly it seems that this latter gem is a myth, but there is a (real) location not too far from where I live in Hertfordshire, called Tyttenhanger Green.

Warwick Hunt.... more a condemnation than a name.

Knew people named Claude Cox and Justin Cocker.

    Hugh Jampton.

Dishes on a Thai Restaurant menu I saw about 10 years ago.

    Pud Prik Sod

    Lik Man Bot

I am still not sure that they were not just taking the piss.

Probably not... I've seen one or two fairly amusing (if distinctly rude) fake Thai menu piss-takes, but on a genuine Thai menu I typeset and printed for a customer are such items as:

    Pla Lad Prik

    Pla Muk Prik

(Apropos of nothing much, it's a bloody good restaurant too, the Market Thai in London's Portobello Road, in case you ever happen to find yourself in the neighbourhood.)

Meanwhile I'm surprised no-one has yet posted the not-uncommonly-seen Hugh Janus...

My former next-door neighbor was named Dick Swet. That's right. Dick Swet.

Letterman did a bit years ago where the staff found some guy in Alaska or somewhere, who ran a tire shop or something. Name: Dick Assman. They called him up on the air and had a long conversation.

Sounds more like a character from Frankie Howard's 1970's comedy series 'Up Pompeii'. It was full of such gems. Probably the Python crowd got the ideas from there.

I used to work with a guy named Richard Short. You'd think maybe he would go by "Rich", or "Rick", or whatever, but no...he was "Dick". He'd heard it all so many times that he was totally immune to the teasing....didn't even faze him anymore. :p
