Since there's no posting for this week .I'll throw this out for this week. Enjoy!
thanks for the groovy track @Mellencaster
Aria Pro2 semi. DVMark amp...
Played through my tele and a Roland Cube 30 on the Black face setting, direct in into my interface .
montemerrick You've played the melody nicely and changed up as you progress into the track, it was a nicely done take but what I liked the best is that you gave no appologies for your track and you shouldn't need to here,
estreet Clean tones are like a double edge sword in my opinion ,they can go either way but you've found the sweet spot for playing and the major and minor change ups are my favorite in a your mix ,plus the octaves were nicely done.
Ok, here's my effort for this one. Just some noodling, this time just guitar (G&L ASAT Special Tribute) into amp (Vox AC15), to prove I don't always use freakfest pedals.
Will go listen and comment on your songs now
@montemerrick I feel like we were mostly on the same page today.
@estreet you were there with the band, were you not? I like the theme that you introduce at 0:30 and the surf mood from 1:52. Wish I had your command of mood and tasty phrases.
@Mellencaster I feel like you went to the same party as @estreet, but later when they played the encore, when the crowd was rowdier. Nice!
Tobias I quite liked the space you left to weave in and out the mix and a nice progression with the melody!
AS-80 played with fingers as pictured, into Vibro Champ XD Blackface setting otherwise unadorned.
- Mellow, the double stops were really nice.
- Deftly played.
- Your Blackface and mine sound a little different! You were pretty Bluesy too.
- Space is good. Also hard to do, well done.
Mjark Indeed we do sound diferrent ,my gain setting was cranked and the volume was low. Lovely take Mark , nice jazz feel!
Nice track...sunny stuff in the grey of autum....
- Nice coda!
@Mjark - i get this laid back sense of a sunny garden party, with someone mellowly observing the goings on
@NWinther - i like how you impose your own rhythmic feel and dominance on the track
NWinther Nice take Niels , love your dynamic flow on this .
Thanks for the track @Mellencaster
For this one I used my Ibanez Talman TM-71 equipped with Guitar Madness P94 pickups. The effects were my EHX Tone Corset compressor, Tech21 Sansamp GT2, Rowin Trelicopter, Eno AE-1 Ambient Echo and Aural Dreams Digital Compressor. I wanted to go for a version of that modern compressed clean guitar tone.
Typically a compressor would be at the start of the effects chain but the Aural Dreams behaves more like a studio or rack compressor than a standard comp pedal. I actually have it in the aux loop on my board rather than in the regular effects chain.
unfortunately I have no knowledge of bossanova, just played something around backing.
bgmacaw That's quite a nice tone you've worked on and stayed true to the styling of the track with a lovely jazz feel and sound.
Raimonds You have a great ear for music and you find your way quite effectly on this track , especially after the first break .Nice!
Here is my attempt. 1 take no editing (just a little EQ, compressor and reverb added in Reaper).
I haven't listened to your tracks yet but I've seen a few blackface settings so mine as well. there is my HH tele neck PU into BIAS FX (comp, tube screamer, blackface amp and reverb)
