Fabulous talent Spikey....
Thanks a lot StrangerNY. I tried to do that as much as possible. I didn't put the texture lines in the hair though. I felt it was better without that, they are very feint on the original. ALso the truss rod cover was orange when Eric had it so I kept to that also,....and I didn't paint the pickup surrounds. You can see that they were painted when EC owned the guitar but the paint on the bridge one wore off real fast!
Cheers Madras! I'm pleased you like it. It's tough selling art though these days.
Your Strat looks amazing! Great work. Really original and I love the concept behind it. I recognised the Gil Elvgren girlie, he was an amazing artist! Did you actually paint it? If so, how long did it take you to do that?
Thanks very much Troy!
Thanks Broadchurch. I will do that. I never really thought about doing this again but it's an idea.
Yes there are a few about really apart from those three. Hendrix"s Vee and one of his Strats come to mind?
Ah yes, that's the Hendrix one I was thinking of!
You are a gifted individual. Great work. Wonderful art. I tip my hat to your craft.
Love the portraits!
And thanks Davo and AC15' again, I really appreciate it!
Thanks very much for that compliment, CB. Very kind of you!
Lovely work on the SG and your portraits are wonderful!
As someone who dabbles in acrylics (mostly landscapes), I just want to say: stop making me look so bad!
Thanks rburd, glad you like the guitar and the portraits. Don't feel bad, enjoy the art you make. I've been doing it my whole life and professionally as a painter for thirty-seven years solid! So I should be reasonable at it after all that time! I paint landscapes sometimes myself and really enjoy it when I do.
