Think he meant "same or less"

Hard to argue with $250... not bad

Ugh. If I had $250 to spare I'd do this in a heartbeat.

That's a lot of guitar for that price. If I didn't already have one of the previous gen models, I'd be all over this.

I will call later. I have one, but want another for different pickup options. $250 is insane.

That's awesome! All A Melody Maker needs is a P90!

    Update:

Got mine. Just had to call up and ask.

Worst impulse buy ever. I'm justifying it by telling myself that it's less than I paid for my used one, (which was priced cheap) so if it doesn't play as well as the first one, I can turn around and sell it for $50-$100 more than I paid.

The woman I spoke with offered to tell me about their other unadvertised weekly deals. I declined. My wallet can't take that kind of abuse.

My first one has a pair of Duncan Phat Cats in it now. This one might be geting a TV Jones Power'tron. I haven't decided. The stock pickups are actually kind of cool themselves... I'll definately be keeping it a 1-pickup.

For anyone who hasn't tried one of these, they're a serious player for (at the moment) the price of a beginner guitar.

    Post Toastie, THANK YOU!

I have a Faded Double cut Les Paul Special with p-90s so i will leave the Melody Maker alone. When i tested the MM at Sam Ash , i liked the sound of the single coil, kinda of like my Tele but a little darker. I dont need 2 P-90 guitars. But i must say The frets and rounded neck and 50s thicker neck felt better than my 799 dollar les paul.At 249 dollars it is a steel.
