Anyone else seen a Fender "Double Showman" head?

    So that's what we were saying earlier - while they were called that, it didn't have the word "Double" on the faceplate.

    Ever come across a "Fresher" ??? Those are cool - they even duplicated the "Fender" logo font for the nameplate on the grill cloth.

    Unfortunately the picture isn't any clearer in the book itself (I'm looking at my copy). I's been years since I've seen one, but I'll throw out some feelers among vintage collectors/brokers and see if anyone can come up with a current picture.

    Again, I’m talking about a blackface amp, black tolex, no presence control. The panel said “Double Showman.”

    It was only called the double for the first year, so black tolex makes no sense. Most listings of doubles I have seen look like this:

    I'm having a hard time due to search algorithms, but I have seen old Fender blackface clones made in Mexico and Spain on the net.
