Yes, I definitely prefer having only one main squeeze guitar, which in my case would be a maple neck Tele. It's just the way I roll - some of us are like that for whatever reason - SRV, EVH, Marty Stuart, Beck, etc.

Unfortunately, I don't currently have a number one - I have 3 Teles (all partscasters) - a killer rosewood (that I wish was maple!), and two really good maples that I am tweaking which are vying for number one status. I also have a D-15 which vaery rarely gets played, and a fantastic Jeff Beck Strat that hasn't even had strings on it in the better part of a year.

I have one Tele, one Strat, one acoustic, one tenor guitar. However, I have two more Teles that I'm building...

    Right here
I'm rather conventional, never play more than one at a time.

I only have 1 tele and it's the only tele I've ever had.

I do however have a polygamous relationship with guitars.

I've just got the one Tele - it's a '68 that a purchased in '74. I met my wife in '78 and we married in '83. We celebrated our 35 anniversary this year and the Tele will be 50 years old in July. I think I'll keep them both as they've served me well.

If you took as much care with your bride as you did w/the guitar? it's no wonder it's still working.

I think of Teles as male, not female, but carry on.

One guitar guy here (currently the 64 AVRI in the avatar). Owned prob 25ish in the past few decades, but never more than one at a time, and managed to gig without a backup at probably 1500 shows... tempting fate I know, but money’s always a factor and I figure I’m only ever a few songs from an interval!!
