Underrated band. Love Johnette Napolitano's voice!
Love Johnette and James Mankey.
Johnette even looks a little like my favorite wife.
Yeah, good stuff!
Johnnette is a wonderful very underrated singer.
I wish she would get sober though.
I still have their first album on vinyl.
One of my top 5 favorite bands.
Count me in!!
Good version of little Wing they make
I love that song. Never heard any of their other stuff.
they also did a great version of Cheap Trick's "Mandocello"
Yes! And that song is off my favorite Cheap Trick album.
Any Concrete Blonde fans?
Sweet acoustic number here:
I love Someday.
They did it on Letterman in 1993.
I spent an afternoon hanging out with Johnette. I didn't know who she was other then she was a featured speaker and performer at our Sustainable Living Fair. I don't think we even talked about music, as I recall it was just environmental issues and things to do around town.
The only song of hers I was familiar with was Mexican Moon. I hope she'd doing OK.
Never heard of them, but I have now! Good Stuff!
Bloodletting, along with patti smith's dream of life was the prime soundtrack of my hard-drinking years in the early 90s. I don't listen to it much now, but its a great record.
Not too surprised Johnette has trouble with the bottle. That's real drunk's music, imo.
she's got the best voice in rock and roll... music hits me too hard to listen to regularly though... but oh man she kills me.
Love there version
two of my favorites from them:
