Nothing big. But they can get loud. A couple more elsewhere. 4A2E588D-39E4-4AD0-A910-2870F2C6FF7B.jpeg

I could look @ pics of amps & teles all day. Hmm, maybe that's what I'm doing. :)

These days, I'm looking for the easy to manage, giggable amp that gives me variety vs amp variety.

    Variety huh?

Be careful what you wish for...

    IMG_20190609_010206.jpg

There are 20 amps in that picture, three of which you can't even see behind all the other amps. Yes, I have a problem... not the least of which is that I have plans for several more builds already in my head.

This little Vox with a few pedals and four guitars gives me all I need. Now you may notice that I’m “Telecaster- less” at the moment, having sold off my Kotzen tele several months ago. I think there may be an Esquire in my future...

This is barebones, effective, and built to last.

    I highly recommend it.

I have 3 that pretty much cover all the bases I need covered - 6G2 Brownface Princeton, Blackface Vibrolux Reverb and a 5f1 champ clone I put together from a Boothill kit. Kind of a mama bear, papa bear and baby bear trio that lets me choose just the size I need for any occasion.

Living off the grid, I'm sort of glad I'm restricted by watt usage. One loud enough for gigs, one very versatile and one living room amp plus a bass amp:

    Fender Champ 12
VHT Special 6 Ultra head with homemade 10" cab
    Fender Greta 2W
    Crate SS bass amp BT15

Oh, for low watt usage satisfying amp spice, I have gone to amp-in-a-box pedals:

    CB 5F6
    CB Formula #5
    Lovepedal JTM

Amp variety is the spice of life. Unfortunately, I usually have to sell one to fund the purchase of the next one. However, right now I am in the fortunate situation where a friend gave me as a gift a brand new Marshall Code modeling amp head. So currently I have a Vox AC10C1, and an amp that does virtually every other amp in the world. Variety.
