Am I the only person who thinks Louie Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles , the Beatles and other musical legends were all “no talent bums?”

And while I am at it, I “don’t get” John Coltrane.

    Just keeping the theme alive!

Clearly I have too much time on my hands...

Apologies in advance for that 5 seconds of your lives you’ll never get back!

    I've lost 67 years of my life I can't get back. I won't sweat 5 more seconds.

I think that the influence those so called "artists" has had on our world treasure Justin Beiber was worth slugging through all those Phillips long play records....

Ray Charles, seriously? Music and soul oozed from every note he played or sang. I don't see how he could be a talentless bum?? The rest of your list too?

Sometimes I am still able to be shocked by certain all encompassing statements.

    The Beeb?

Yeah, unfortunately I got tired of typing.

I would have added Charlie Parker, Joni Mitchell, James Brown, Otis Redding and several others as well.

Depends on what you call talent. They Beatles could ride a bicycle that takes some talent.

I've heard the Beatles could cross roads too ...... They probably influenced Robert Johnson!

Dunno if you saw the Rutles film, but they did influence the great blues man “Ruttling Orange Peel.”

So I wouldn’t be surprised if they also influenced RJ.

Is this some kind of social experiment designed to make us feel like dummies?

As with songwriting, John and Paul made riding a bike look easy, while George and Ringo were having a bit of trouble with it.

I am simply continuing the trend of such “social experiments”, which seem to occur daily here lately.

Doing what I can for the betterment of mankind.
