It is a great color. I had a tele and a precision bass in this color.

Just know the MIM Midnight Wine is a little darker than the ones on USA Fenders, IME.

Maybe not quite the wine red you are speaking of, but yes I love me some wine red Teles with maple necks!

Not into midnight wine, its feels like black red. Wine Red is darkest i like. Wish they did add it for Player series :p

Ah, the second one you linked was Midnight Wine, so I wasn't sure.

I'm sure I will have one, some day. Problem is, every one I've played was made of lead...….

I have a '99 MIM Midnight Wine tele. It didn't look right to me with a white guard so I put a matte black one on it.

I loved mine. I played the frets right off of it and traded it to a buddy who wanted it for slide.

Whatever the heck that is (and I've never seen anything like it before), I want it.

It is an MJT swamp ash body in Cinnamon Burst. I love it too. Currently my #1.

I had one, my favorite Tele color. Looked great with a white pearloid pickguard.

Relic that thing, it'll be just like Muddy's Tele! You can always get a rosewood fretboard neck down the road.

A favorite color combo of mine. I wish my Baja was midnight wine - that would be cool.

My first Tele was a 2004 Wine Red MIM Standard. I don’t even remember now what I traded it for. I believe back then the MIM Standard bodies were made from poplar.
