All you "Keef" fans: Time for him to just shut up!

I just read that Keith apologized to Mick for calling Jagger a "randy old bastard" and saying “It’s time for the snip—you can’t be a father at that age"!

I love me some Rollings Stones but Richards has trashed just about everyone. Yet, he hasn't exactly lived an exemplary life himself. No one can discount his contribution to rock and his love of the music that inspired it but, if he was honest, he would have to admit that he made a fortune milking his Open G, Brown Sugar-Start Me up riff for all it was worth.

I will seek shelter now from those I have offended.

Hey Keith, how about a nice, steaming hot cup of STHU.

This offends you how? I'm sure it didn't bother Mick. Everything between them is calculated for maximum publicity.

It's Keith he's going to say what he wants to.
Maybe he was just joking around?

It probably isn't the greatest idea to become a father in your 70's.. so I don't really blame him.

Was that worse than the tiny todger comments? He’s not really a role model, even if he’s a rock icon. (For me anyway).

He does run off at the mouth on occasion. He trashed Led Zeppelin, among others, that was really uncalled for.

Mick's a big boy, and can take care of himself.

The man is a rock god.

Gods of any description seldom care for the opinions of mortals.

    Let him ramble.

As I said, I should duck and hide. I am not offended for Mick. Frankly I don't give a flying rodents tuchus. The point is that he doesn't have to publicly utter every thought that comes into his now pickled, drug addled brain. I've just grown weary of his critiques of others.

I wouldn’t want to be the dad of a newborn at 74. That’s for sure.

Don’t worry about offending us, or Keith. It’s your opinion, and you’re entitled to that.

Keith could care less than you can care less, and same goes for me.

Keith says stuff like that when he hasn't been in the news lately. I'm sure he loves providing fodder

Keith has been trashing other bands and other musicians since I can remember. I doubt I'd like to hang out with him. I doubt I'd SURVIVE hanging out with him, even at his current age. But being a nice guy isn't his job. He was really REALLY good at his job! I was and am a fan of his job performance, not his personal manners.

Keith Richards on reuniting the Rolling Stones and going sober: 'The drugs are so bland these days'

    Neil McCormick
    , Music Critic
    28 February 2018 • 7:25pm

Keith Richards hasn’t had a drink since Christmas. The legendarily hard-living rock and roll icon sounds almost reluctant to admit to sobriety. “I’m not saying I’m definitely off all of this stuff,” he protests. “In six months’ time, I might be on it again. But at the moment, for a couple of months, I haven’t touched it.” When I ask how he is finding abstinence, he chuckles ruefully. “It’s novel.”

The 74-year-old Rolling Stone still smokes incessantly and speaks as if his vocal cords are coated in thick layers of fur, but he insists that cigarettes and coffee are the only real vices he has left. He is impressively disdainful of the prescription drugs rife among a younger generation, such as Xanax and Percocet. “Drugs are not interesting these days. They are very institutionalised and bland. And, anyway, I’ve done ’em all.”

His laughter is rich, throaty and infectious, constantly bubbling up to shade his remarks wit........

I try to keep myself away from the words of people that I admire for their music work. It can't always work that way, of course. Usualy, I don't even care for what they say about anything.

Beside their work, they are (personaly) strangers to me, and as I am not intersted in what some strangers talk between themselves in a caffe seating at the nearby table, the same applies to celebrities.
Their work, OK. I am interested in.
Their life/words other than their public work, it's their bussiness, not mine. Not interested.
Their public talk intended to push sale of their work, I don't really care.
