I saw Yes in 1974 or so for the Close to the Edge tour. They did the entire album plus stuff from Fragile and Tales from Topographic Oceans. I’d guess it was close to three hours of nonstop mind expansion for me. I’m still stunned by that show. I saw them again in 1976 for the Relayer tour which is still my favorite Yes album. It was an amazing show as well. Saw them again in 1978 for a much shorter and far less impressive show, must have been an off night.
I have tickets to see them this summer and I’m looking forward to seeing them, but I do have tempered expectations. We’re all a lot older now. Anyway, even a shadow of Steve Howe’s former self still towers over the rest imho.
