    Wow!

I saw the show in Akron on Tuesday. If you like Country/Americana/Gospel do yourself a favor and buy a ticket.

    • The singing, playing and arrangements were absolutely stellar
    • Her current band is fantastic
    • The sound was awesome

If excellent music isn't enough for you and you want something kinetic with lots of stage craft, effects and costume changes, probably take a pass.

Cute little stage set and 1:45 of superior performances.

Our seats were great. Sixth row worth every penny.

Hearing Jay Belerose was a special treat but in this band nobody was just along for the ride. Allstars at every position.

I've loved everything she's ever done. Her voice is so soothing to me. Ron Block is very underrated, IMO. A very interesting lineup on this tour. I'm sorry I didn't get to see the tour Union Station did with Tony Rice years ago. I knew that was one that I would never get to see again.

My wife and I drove to Chattanooga TN to see that show because we knew, like you, that it was special and not likely to happen again. We were not disappointed! Chattanooga was cool and we were celebrating just having found out that she was pregnant with our daughter.

My wife and I did the trek from Memphis for that very show. I love Allison K, have seen her and US a few times, but Tony Rice doesn't come round much and he is simply awesome.

I’ve long been a fan since first seeing her on Austin City Limits, back in the ‘80’s...AFAIC, she’s currently the best voice in country music!

Wow - she’s got Jay Belerose with her.

At one point in time that was about as big a sin in that world as you could commit.

I saw Jay drumming for her and Plant on that tour they did.

    Great story!

Tony Rice is my favorite guitarist! I've had the pleasure of seeing him many times, a couple very up close & personal.

Here’s my favorite AK & US song. If this doesn’t give you goose bumps, well... Anyway, she’s got a beautifully haunting voice. I also hear that she’s a person of great integrity and has declined opportunities to “advance” if it was seemingly a compromise to that integrity. She’s an artist in the truest form.

Oh - she's even got a guy on Tele too. That is a different-ish band set-up.

I totally appreciate Ms. Krauss and am in awe of her talent but sometimes I find her boring. I'm sure it's my fault...short attention span or something but her performances are just so perfect that I don't find much to relate to. She never looks like she's trying very hard or moved by the music or...anything. Maybe that's the curse of having so much talent. When she toured with Robert Plant she reminded me of some sort of android made in Japan...smile, sing perfect harmony, look at Bob, move a little, repeat. I liked Bob much better with Patti Griffith...she pushed back. Now I love the AKUS version of Ghost in this House and Mr. Blocks' There Must Be A Reason but it's the songs more that her singing.

I remember an interview where she said that sometimes her and her brother would get together with electric guitars and play Led Zepplin songs in order to break the monotony. That is something I would pay to see and hear. Who knows, maybe she would even break a sweat.

Let me begin by saying I absolutely love Alison Krauss. I loved her band Union Station and everyone in it, I'm sure I would love seeing her and if she were to have a show close enough for it to be practical to attend we'll go. She had a problem with her voice a while back with something called dysphonia. If you care to, you can google her and the problem and read about it. If anything, she should be even better after overcoming her condition, and taking voice coaching lessons. She is a pretty darned good fiddle player too.
