After listening thousands of times, that riff still gets me going!

One of the coolest; most underappreciated guitar riffs/songs ever I think?

And that nasally tone is awsome!

Put Paul Rodgers on vocals, and this would have been a real rock anthem!!:) oh... and replace the keyboards with an Ace Frehley solo!

Actually a Frehley bomb would blend in really good here.

Great song of the era, but not a lot of guitar riffs - instead, a showcase for the keyboards of the day.

    I saw Boston in 1980.
    They were great.
    Thanks for listening.

That reminds me that back then Tom Sholz got grief for using a computer in the studio....They were great to see mid to late 70's or so.

I guess I always viewed Boston as an American Deep Purple (with a little Argent thrown in), and this track perfectly demonstrates that. Thanks for posting this......

If I never hear another Boston anything, I'll be okay with that

Dont understand the hate for Boston... I'm not a huge fan or anything but I can certainly appreciate some good old fashioned rock.

This song is just good up tempo rock with really cool and fun to play guitar parts.

the hate is based on overexposure. FM (and probably AM, too) radio played it right to death for decades.

    Familiarity breeds contempt.

DITTO.....Boston is a bit too "polished" and over-produced for my taste, but it's still better than cRAP for me. I don't understand all the "hate" for any music....if I don't like it, I just won't listen to it.

Fortunately, I owned a radio with a station selector knob, and an "ON/OFF" switch. ;)

Lots of times though, a radio is playing in a public place, that you have no control over.
And then there are the jukeboxes...

I can understand kinda, we have 1 classic rock station and it plays the same songs to death and has for years...

But, I still dont hate it because of that, rather I only listen when I'm in the mood for it.

Just so happen to hear the Boston tune last night and remembered how much I love the riff and chord progression and tonality.

    Very catchy and rockin song.

I like the song, the album, actually. I do understand the dislike via repetition though. Even though I do like the album, it doesn't get rotation any more than once every several years now.

Here's a variation of the riff, just for fun!
