I'm so bad at sharing photos. Sorry, but I have 2 photos and 2 threads.
Nice guitar, btw - lucky you!
Even I realize that is not a telephone.
Those early mobile phones were pretty big.
Super GAS for that... Telephone! Lovely.
That hits a sweet spot for me. Super sweet.
Reference photo to new thread.
Bridge plate is later design than 63 I think .
Hard to see clearly in the photo. It should say FENDER pat no. des 164227, 2573254
I thought they were from 64 on... anyway, lovely guitar. Want more pics!
I am drooling all over the keyboard and that ain't no good for my computer. You lucky *%*#*[* enjoy that dream guitar for me too, will you?
I've gone through Duchoissior's book to verify as much as possible the guitars conformation. The only non stock items are decal, pick guard, bridge pup is an early Lollar, switch tip. Tuners are original single line Klusons, pots are 38th week Stackpole '63s. The bridge plate is correct and the dowel marks are in the correct locations on the back of the body. My favorite part is the neck has a 3AUG63 stamp code same as Mike Bloomfield's chopped up '63.
Yep, it has this bridge assembly.
Great looking guitar! You are correct, the pickguard is not original. I saw an original 60s on online, it is going for $500. PM me if you want the link.
Thanks but I bought the guitar as a player. I'm not interested in paying for vintage cases and/or parts.
If I could have any vintage Tele it would be a 63 just like that. Where'd you get it?
