Oh no no no, kites WERE fun to me (and probably IRA7 too) right until I listened to that song!
I LOVE kites, especially the modern, easy to fly ones. I always bring one (I swear) when I go to the beach.
Fortunately, that song stunk so much that it won't even haunt me when I'm next flying.
Wow, this is now my favorite thread. Great memories from these songs. I'll add one that came out in '69 ... give it a minute to warm up:
The first record I ever bought, 45 rpm, 4th grade? (flip side was "Mr. Tamborine Man".
Pretty much the entire Beatles catalog.
Same with the Beach Boys.
I first heard about this song in a Peter Green interview where he mentions it as being influential in the UK. It sure sounds like it influenced John Lennon.
I'll stop now too many good tunes
Ok one last one !
notice missing is jeffereson airplane white rabbit , and many more like the collectors lydia purple, donovan season of the witch,
Someone's got to put this in, so .... Trippy or what?
Don’t get me started, I could list hundreds of 60s 45s that get regular spin at my house.
They made many good songs but this one was so nice.
Last one from me .... this is too addictive!
This dude came to our shores thinking he could play a bit
No KITES in this video but I surely feel beeing influenced by it too!
