Well, in the states, it wasn't all happy. Example below.

But I agree about the wide variety of genres, which laśted into the 70s.

And is anyone else's iPad here choking from the memory requirements to view this thread with all of its YT links!?

Well, I'm a fan of Hendrix's albums. Also the first two Led Zeppelin Albums came out in the 60's.

Pretty much any song from the first two Led Zeppelin albums.

But I'm also a huge fan of Janis Joplin and love Little Girl Blue from I believe 69.

The Byrds - Sweet Heart Of The Rodeo

Of course there are a lot more than that but theres just a few.

But thou shall NOT forget the country.

    Rocky Top - Osborne Brothers

Mere Haggard & Buck Owens were putting out some great stuff.

Obviously I could go on and on and on from any genre.

    Edit:
Add The Rolling Stones to the list. Sympathy For The Devil alone is enough. First time I heard that song it blew me away. I didn't know what to think. Should I turn it off and never listen to this satanic band again. But then I thought well it's just a song written from Satan's point of view. I do think it's one of the most important rock songs of all time.

Either way I do like The Rolling Stones especially from 65-72. I mean I like them after but it's something about the years 1965-1972 that just felt different with every band or artist. It's not just limited to The Rolling Stones. I feel the same way about Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, and others.

I only posted Ramble On - Otherwise I'd be really taking over the thread with all the Hendrix and Zeppelin songs I'd post.

But I will post another song.
