So I'm working on building my second amp (5E3). This time I sourced all the parts myself instead of doing a hybrid of picking certain parts and relying on a mojotone kit.

I ordered these for input jacks:

I think I was supposed to order these that short out when unplugged:

Is there a way around this? Or if I use these will I have crazy hum?

    Thanks!

You need 5 switching jacks type 12A, and one open (extension speaker) type 11.

Ok I figured as much. I couldn’t think of a way for a normal jack to accomplish what the shunt one does. Shunt jacks ordered. Thanks for the help gentlemen
