Hey guys. Just finished this one today.

It`s a strat based on a `56-ish in the custom color Lake Placid Blue, and with gold hardware.

I`ve done all the finishing and aging myself. Went for a "well played, but looked after" look :p So basically it`s heavy checked with just some nicks and dings.

The neck is an Allparts TMO-C, a great neck if you work a bit with it. Rounded all edges, and of course it needed a fret job. I also installed a bone nut. But love the profile.

    It plays really good now!

    Enough talk, here`s some pics.

    I like it a lot.
From where did you buy the gold hardware? What pickups have you place on?

Thanks Nick. The hardware is Gotoh and Fender, so you can get it pretty much everywhere.

Pickups are made by a guy here in Norway.

I wouldn't think that gold and blue would go together but wow, that's pretty nice.

The checking, hot and cold method? I like to use my freezer and then let it sit in the shop.

Looks great. LPB is one of my favorite custom colors (along with Fiesta)

Thanks a lot guys :) I didn`t build this one for myself. If so, I think I would`ve used a single ply white pickguard and chrome/nickel hardware. But the gold looks classy though!

I don`t remember the excact title of the color, but it`s Duplicolor. So acryllic for color and nitro for the clear.

Yeah, used the freezer method. Works great :)
