    Absolutely right!

It even has the original factory vinyl cover. You'll never see another this nice.

I don't want to pay $1300 for it. I don't want to carry it. I just want it in my practice room. :)

Here’s the thing, they REALLY needed to change all those caps? You mean ALL of them were bad? Not likely. I get that he MAY have had a bad cap and he thought he may as well swap all of them while he had his tech in there but I bet it wasn’t needed. Now the dang this is molested. $1300 is too high for me. Thassa lodda amp.

If I wanted Orange Drops in an amp, I'd use the polyester type (PS series) over those 715's. They'd be more like the original caps than the more "hifi" 715's.

    It’s not a big deal. It’s not like it’s a piano or a Hammond B3, or even a SVT.

My SFTR was bad enough. Now that I'm pushing 60 and do commercial masonry all day there's no way I'm tackling that if I don't have to

I let a tech talk me into orange drop replacements in my 81 Vibrolux. Killed the soul of the amp. I've since replaced them with caps closer in nature to the originals. The problem is that it was louder, but EQ wise very edgy sounding i.e. Chinese Amp sounding. Super clean and loud but not pleasing. My experience. Others may vary.

That does exist, it's called the Dual Showman Reverb head. There was also the 300PS and 400PS. 6V6 as a phase inverter for the smaller one, 400PS has a 6L6.

Yes...Showman cabs were closed, whereas what I was thinking of was a 412 open cab..

Yeah, it also only had two speakers, I was just referring to the head.
