I never thought of that but you're right, Goldie is a BSB dog alright. We should have called him Leo :)

Just curious as to why you picked that particular color. Was that offered originally? Nice job

Well I don't think this colour (Fiesta Red?) was offered as a custom colour in 1973, so this was probably not a "period correct" choice.

When i first went to see François at his workshop he had a red Strat in for repair that he had refinished a few years ago and I thought it was a great colour. So I had that in mind from the start. I also thought of blonde (see the pics in the 1st post in this thread and there are 2 sample colour sheets on top of the white primed body) but I wasn't sure how it would come out.

I also considered Sonic Blue, which I really like and I even took along my Sonic Blue Strat as a guide at one point. However I thought my guitar might be confused for a Classic 60's Baja.

So in end I went for the Red, which sort of makes my old Tele unique :)

Can't go wrong with Red ! especially Fiesta Red !! The last year Fiesta red was offered was 1969 ...but that's ok it's a refin anyway so way not have it a color you like and will enjoy !

That color rocks! Reminds me of my Ford truck which is painted "Race Red".
