Ack, sorry - yes, 5/61 NOT 5/51, lol. The guitar is 100% original.
That's a really sweet example. And it holds a special attraction for me, because when I first started playing Teles (early 60s) that is exactly what a Tele looked like. CS
One of my dream guitars. Beautiful
Got one! Yours is nicer, lovely to see those original features, single ply scratch plate, ash tray. Same neck, I like your description of the sound snappy but rich. Thanks for the posting.
Now, how do you work a camera?
Hi Bterry, I just bought this 1960 Blonde Tele. I love it. I just created another post about it but I thought I'd share a picture with you too.
Aren't they great!
Beautiful guitar man!
If you ever have time, would you mind posting the neck thickness at the 1st and 12th fret?
Actually, could everyone who has a 59-62 slab tele do this? Perhaps it would be best to have a new thread?
This is killing me...
Wow! You really ARE 114!
No, but some days I FEEL like I am. CS
Totally agree with this a PDF of that neck would be amazing
Well, here's a better picture of mine with a 5 hole guard. After seeing this thread and the one for Danman's 1960 Tele, I'm starting to like the look of an 8 hole guard as well.
