Hey guys! Just wanted to share some pics/sounds of my 1956 Esquire. It`s such an amazing guitar, it sounds really good! So resonant and evenly balanced. The day I got it I brought it straight to my gig that night. I wasn`t sure if I`d use it or not, but ended up playing the whole gig with it. Just bonded with it instantly.

Perfect soft V neck, great weight; it`s a good one :)

This is amazing, so sweet guitar! I was very surprised recently when I tried for the first time a 1956 Stratocaster and discovered it had the same soft V neck shape as my 56 tele. Never thought tele and strat could have shared a shape like this…

Did a trade about 6 months ago, I had to let go of my old strat.
Not sure what a guitar like this sell for these days.

Thanks Major. I`ve never played a `50s strat before, only from the `60s. But I hope to do so one day :)

Enjoy that lovely guitar. How do these old pickups compare to modern ones?

This guitar has currently got a newer pickup installed. Bare Knuckle made me a clone of an old `53/`54 flatpole Champion pickup I have. But as soon as the old Champ pickup is restored it`s going back in! I love the Bare Knuckle pickup though.

Wish I had the original pickup, but it`s probably long gone.

I presume the BN clone has the same type of magnets and DCR reading. Would you still say the colne sounds different from the lap steel pickup? In those clips the original pickup sounds really mellow and full for a bridge pickup

Don`t remember it right now, but will check it out.

Cheers. In these videos I`m playing through a stock Princeton 68RI, great amps!

Yeah, they copied my old one. They were going to restore the old one, but were afraid to mess it up further actually. But the repro they made sounds absolutely killer. I`m using the BK in these clips.

    Thanks man!

    Thank you!
