Sorry Buckocaster for starting another eclipse thread. I forgot about this one....
The moon is nearing totality and after three days of snow we actually have clear skies tonight. Just woke the kids up to have a look.
I think we will catch it just as totality is ending, here in eastern Oz. And after a week of rain it looks like we might have a mostly clear sky. Just waiting for Sol to dip into the West and Luna to peek over the hills here in Melbourne.
All I'm seeing is another inch of snow coming down. Crap!
Slept through it. Damn.
I went out to photograph the full moon at araound 5:30 A.M. anyway, even though it was a fresh -9.
The longest lens I have is only 135mm (not the most ideal for the task, I'll admit) so this is a 150% crop:
We had a great view - clear skys & - 12 degrees.
Carried my daughter outside to see it - it was 07.30 at the time and nearing totality.

without pics it never happened, right?
