Pros: All Around Good Guitar
Cons: Prefer Gloss Finish On Neck, Lead Pickup Weak

Hi:

I'm new to the FDPRI. My MIM Tele is a red one I bought new in Sept 1994. I had it professionally set up after purchace including a new custom made nut.

I have several Tele's. I made this 94 Tele my main work guitar. I had Texas Special Pickups installed in 1998. I have gigged this guitar to death. The frets are worn and the edges of the neck are worn down, and plenty of fretboard scuffs on the first 13 frets. I also have changed out the pickguard and have had to replace 5 of the 6 tuners.

I paid $329.00 for it new. I GOT My Moneys worth, and it still plays and sounds fantastic

Pros: Body, neck and tuners: great project guitar
Cons: pick ups and output jack

i have a 2006 MIM telecaster. The pickups were hot which isn't really the telecaster sound. It really works well for a rock guitar. The neck is actually really good (aside from the bleached maple look) it feels great and the frets are perfect. The tuners are good and have had no problems with them. The thing I like about these guitars is how easy it is to mod them which I find to half the fun with guitars. The six saddle bridge is set up for a direct fit to a three saddle bridge. I put in vintage nocaster spec pups in it and it plays and sounds fantastic. I will be refinishing the neck at a time where I can bare to be without it for a while. Highly playable guitar and a few mods make it sound like anything that you want. Oh the output jack in mine is horrendous can't use right angles without it falling out and if I use the straight throughs the jackplate half hangs out of my guitar when I pull it out fortunately a cheap fix.

Pros: Top End Tele for less $$ than American Teles
Cons: Made in Mexico emblem is not well percieved..a myth

I have a 2008 MIM Tele I justs bought in late August. Like any guitar you are about to buy...look at more than just one of that same model for comparison. I looked at three MIM Teles in two different shops, two of the three were not worthy. One had a bad nut with the Bass E string dinging into the neck just behind the nut...indicating the nut wasn't cut right..[found that same problem on an American Strat aswell]. The second Tele didn't have a good feel in the neck. The 3rd Tele was Tops. Took it home and set it up myself..[straighten the neck somewhat and re-adjusted the saddles for the best posible action]. Great Tele with Top Grade pickups. These new Standard MIM Teles come with 'Re-voiced hotter Pickups'. These pups are identicle to my Custom Shop Texas Specials. No Copper plate on the bottom of the Re-voiced pups, but they are extra wound and have TWO longway magnetic bars paralleling eachother on the bottom. The pole pieces are not staggared like the Tex Spcls, but are raised and beveled like the 'Vintage Noiseless Pups from the Custom shop. Add a pair of 'Fender Deluxe locking Tuners and you have a high end guitar. Anything else is cosmetic on this Tele. No doubt that Competion is tough out there and Fender had to put some high end pups in this guitar to compete. Know your guitars and what to LOOK for, before you grab one and run out the door, Fender is NOT consistant with every MIM or American Guitar they make these days..know your product well !! Pros: Great feel, nice sized neck
Cons: some hardware could be better

As I am crazy about the natural ash, got this to match my MIA tele, changed the string tree, put on locking tuners, eventually put in Texas special pups. Doesn't sound like the MIA, but has it's own sound, very full and versatile.

Used to be a Gibson-holic, but recovering nicely with Teles.

Pros: Nice neck, overall good guitar, tuners better than expected
Cons: Pickups could be better.

What can I say? I can get close to all the sounds I need. I thought I'd have to do a bunch of upgrades to get a great guitar, but it's already really comfortable to play. This is a 2007 model.

Pros: price, pickups, neck,
Cons: none

I just bought a used 07 model mim standard. I really love the changes they mad after 06 from the bigger frets and hotter pickups. It still has the classic tele twang, but with a more rock sounding mid voice as well. This is the best guitar for the price I have ever bought and I have A LOT....

Pros: Maple neck, bridge, body, pickups
Cons: jack not perfect, frets a bit sharp at first, the nut.

I love the slightly yellow arctic white color of mine. Goes well with pickgard and neck. Pickups not right sound but still inspiring and can rock too. Thinking about some vintage nocaster pickups or Fralins. Keeping this one for blues. A beautiful guitar.

Pros: Ash Body, Poly finish, sound, looks
Cons: none

This is a 2007 MIM ASH FSR telecaster. It is perfect for my country gospel band and solo performances. The output jack came loose and almost fell out before I noticed it. I tightened it and now I just check it but it seems solid. Fit and finish were nice. I changed to .10's so I did a setup. Action and intonation were easy to set. The tuners hold well and I love the pickups. I use the bridge most of the time. Overall very nice.

Pros: Nice midnight wine, brilliant sound, surprisingly excellent pups
Cons: jack looses easily

No much more to say, built in 2008, bought brand new. This guitar fulfill all the expectations I had for a Fender guitar. It was the fifth I tried; once I felt that was the one for me went staright an buy it It required a bit of calibration, not difficult at all. I upgraded it with a chrome pickguard; it looks extremely beautiful. I borrow texas special pups but it didn't sounded that different. I think shop pickups are actually very good, but I will try nocaster ones. Try as many guitars as you need until you find the right tone and playability you want/look for.

Pros: LPB, nice sound, nice pups, great looks.
Cons: none so far

My first Tele, and I couldn't be happier. Have had a pro friend play it, and he was amazed. Actually flawless. 2010 MIM Standard, and I love the LPB color. Gave it a 9 because of my own inexperience.

Pros: Quality build and finish
Cons: None

retail price can be as high as £426, even then it's still worth it.

Sunburst 2011 (60th aniversity neckplate)

I paid £360 from Regent Sounds Denmark street London which is cheaper than I could get off the internet ( Fender rebate was included in the discount)

I can only imagine a USA tele will be better due to pickup quality and a few points of finishing which is not worth paying the additional £600 in my opinion.

Feels and look fantastic as good as any other guitar I have played.

It's weighty but not too heavy, set up was fine, I cannot find fault with this guitar... comes with a gig bag, but ypu cannot expect a case at this price.
