Pros: sound, playability, looks
Cons: I´m not sure I can think of any.

I´ve had this guitar for just a few days. I am very pleased with the quality considering the price I paid. That is a big understatement. I am sooooo happy I bought this. Not the most brilliant highs I´ve ever heard from an acoustic, but still very nice. The lows are full and tight. If you want a taste of that famous Martin/Gibson level of quality (yes, considering the price, I BOLDLY compare this Seagull to the Martins and Gibsons I´ve played) this will give it to you at a price you can afford.

Pros: Excellant woody tone and articulate notes.
Cons: 16 neck is on the large side

Purchased used from GC sight unseen based on reviews. Mine is a Cutaway but is an S-6 with the Cedar top and Cherrywood sides back and neck, (originally thought the neck was mahogany). Thick Rosewood Fretboard and bridge, Great tone! I have small hands so the large neck took some getting used to but was completely taken aback by the tone! I really never paid that much attention to the difference in acoustics but now I know better. I had a very good sounding Eterna, (made by Yamaha), and was very good beginner's guitar. The Seagull, however, is night and day! Great guitar and very happy with the purchase.

Pros: Great Tone. Versatile. Great value.
Cons: Let me think... Maybe sound definition on low strings not quite perfect.

A very good quality instrument. Perfect finish on mine. Not a single construction flaw. Very rich and balanced, bright but full tone, and pretty versatile. Seems like all the money you pay for it it's invested on the construction quality and sound, not fancy looks. But still i find it gorgeous. So, all in all, truly great value.

Finish and construction quality: It's not varnished (is that the correct word in English?) and that allows the wood to vibrate freely and to get a much fuller sound. It also makes it a little more sensitive to hits and scratches, but it's not as bad or dramatic as i read in some other reviews at all. The guitar really sounds better every day you play it, which for me it's a proof of it's overall quality.

Sound: I find it easy to play pop and folk type of songs (which is, i think, her natural element) but it can deliver fingerpicking blues sounds without a sweat (which is what i mostly play on it). I think though, that, maybe because it's a Dreadnought with high sustain (maybe for some other reason), the low strings doesn't sound quite articulated enough for fingerpicking Blues. But that's just to put a con on the table, and it's not a real problem. Maybe just an excuse i give myself to buy another acoustic guitar soon ;)

So, all in all a very good instrument and a truly great value (even with the European over-the-top prices).
