Tweed, 2 chanels, reverb, and 40 watts???
After gigging with a Bassman RI, I wanted something smaller, a slightly overdriven tube sound at lower volumes, and less weight. This fits the bill. It's an early 90s model. I have never played through the new RI ones so I'm not sure if both Blues Deluxes sound exactly the same. I really like the tweed look.
I like this a lot. I was looking for another tube amp to turn up and have a usable distortion when I wanted it. This one works perfectly for me. I like a little bit of breakup with almost a swirly sound. This does it.
The amp sits on a stand when I play. I've heard people review this amp as muddy sounding and I have to disagree. I think they must have the speaker pointed at their knees. It has that great Fender clean sound and a slightly overdriven sound.
The guitars I use through it are a variety of teles and strats. It gets all the classic R & B, Blues, Classic Rock, and country twang sounds that I could want.
