This amp was made by Rick Hayes at Vintage Sound Amps. He started with a "silverface" twin reverb chassis, and stripped it down to the transformers. Then he completely hand wires the amp back to "blackface" 763 specs with the best componets that money can buy. He adds a Mojo finger jointed pine cabinet...lighter weight but STRONG, Weber "California" speakers...(JBL Clones), and all the trimmings, including a black faceplate. I've owned several original blackface Twin Reverbs, and none of them even came close to the absolutely quiet and pristeen sound of this amp. It has the "silverface" transformers, so it's just a little louder than the original...like you need it. It has firm and solid bottom end, wonderful mids, and plenty of highs. My amp doesn't break up till it's on about "8", and that's entirely too loud. But...I WANTED CLEAN...and that's what this amp gives you. This amp has no problem with processors or pedals right through the "front door," and it's a super performer. Rick hand builds all of these amps...one at a time, and there are no problems to be had. If the "Hotshots" out in Scottsdale heard and played through one of Rick's amps, they'd find a tall building...and jump! Rick does conversions on Supers and Deluxe's too. He has a new
line of Vintage Sound Amps now that are even more "tweakable" and better sounding. I'm getting one! If someone wants a workhorse twin that sounds even better than the original, and is built as tough as a tank, pick up a Vintage Sound. The conversions are priced about the same as the Fender Reissues. His Vintage Sound Amps are priced about 1/2 of what a boutique amp of this quality would cost anywhere else. Rick is super easy to work with, and I've never dealt with anyone in 35 years I've been working that's
treated me better. I GIVE IT A 10!

I've shopped at Blues Angel Music in Pensacola Fl, for a long time... and was excited when Rick started making amps... If you want vintage blackface tone... that's his specialty.... these are faithful reproductions of Fender's 60's amplifiers...
If you don't like Fender tones... these ain't the amps for you....
I've plugged into quite a few of them at Blues Angel Music, and quite a few of my buddy's around town are gigging with them....... Great amps for the price....
