I hadn't heard a peep out of them in a LONG time. This is an amazing album -- I simply cannot say enough good things about it. Stevie's singing is as good as ever, Lindsey's songwriting and guitar work are awesome, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie lay a rock solid foundation. What more could you ask for? My personal favorite is Peacekeeper -- great groove.
Even if you aren't a Fleetwood Mac album you should give it a try -- most of the online CD places will let you preview most of the disc.

I was interested in this CD when I heard they were recording again. But I resisted until I heard a song or two on XM Radio.
Now, I really like the album. But it seems less a Fleetwood make CD than a Buckingham Nicks album. But that's not a bad thing. I'm not generally a Stevie Nicks fan, but she's in great voice on this one and she really plays well off of Lindsey's voice. Plus she's written some very good songs here.
I have to say I miss Christie McVie's voice on the CD. She would have added a great deal to this CD.
But all in all its a very good CD and shouldn't be ignored. Most of the songs are wonderful and a couple are breathtakingly beautiful.
If you even vaguely like Fleetwood Mac or Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks you should get this one. It's a shame that the band is not at their peak of popularity. Had they been, more people would have heard this CD. Heaven knows FM radio won't be playing this, but it should be heard.

First, for me, this CD is one of a few (like any new Buddy Guy and Ronnie Earl CD) that falls into the category of buy it as soon as I see it - no need to wait to hear cuts or read reviews.
In this case though, I am a little disappointed. Like many, I loved the first albums done by Fleetwood Mac with Buckingham and Nicks. This recording, to me, is just more of the same. If that is what you are looking for, go get it; the musicianship is superb.
I was looking to see how they and their sound has evolved and changed though and was not really ready for "more of the same." Maybe that is more reflective of me and how my tastes have changed... could be. In any event, that is my review, and it's my first time using this new TDPRI review page.
