Description: Review by Indiana:

---------------------------------------------------

I wouldn't bother reviewing any product that I would not recommend, so keep that in mind. This is the best chromatic tuner I have ever owned, but it was expensive at $180 from Sam Ash Music. However, I think it was worth it, afterall, being perfectly in tune is the best effect you can get, especially if you play a Telecaster with a 3 saddle bridge.

These tuners have highly visible glow screens that feature 3 variable sized bars that line up and stop moving when you get closer to being in tune on any given guitar string. It is tricky at first, but you get used to it. I've never seen a tuner that got closer to perfection except other oversized Peterson tuners.

Here is the blurb from the Peterson website:http://www.petersontuners.com/produc...tomp/index.cfm

----------------------------------------------------

From the house of Peterson, the revered manufacturer of highly precise strobe tuners, meet the StroboStomp (TM) pedal tuner. The most accurate feature-laden tuner ever to sit on a pedal board. In designing this tuner, Peterson has included all the features guitarists and bassists have been waiting for, such as 100% True Bypass, six tempered preset tunings including three Buzz Feiten settings, two user programmable temperaments, drop- and capo-tuning transposition and as if all that was not enough, a built-in active DI for acoustic and bass guitarists. A quality 3PDT stomp switch allows the player to mute both regular and DI outputs to allow silent tuning to an incredible 0.1 cent accuracy. The StroboStomp is constructed from heavy-duty die-cast aluminum and even has a 9VDC output to power other pedals. At last, a pedal tuner worth getting excited about!

Pros: Accuracy, bypass, power output link
Cons: cheap plastic jack sockets on the MK1

I had the MK1 version first and the jack sockets very quickly stripped their thread, in particular the input. I did a fix on it and sold it, the guys happy.

Now I've got the MK2 and no problems with the sockets, Peterson upgraded them and added extra worthwhile tuning features.

Super accurate, easy reading, copes with a huge variety of tunings including its famous compensated, and the power line out runs my line booster.
