I have been looking for a good musicians referral site… I know that would be a spam magnet, but it would be nice to have a central clearing house.

I’ve already learned a bunch of stuff here, and I’ve been messing around with guitars since 1978!

Could someone on the CBS Bakerfield wireing if the 3 way switch works like the standard wireing. Like the middle position, neck and bridge pickup, forward position neck etc.
    Thanks,
    Ron

    Hi,
I recently bought a James Burton Flame artist series with serial number N495xxxxx, this would indicate the guitar was made in 1994 but they only started making them in 2006, can someone help me date this guitar?

Just a great informational site, with very good links to other sites of interest. I especially like to check the classifieds for amps and have the ability to speak with other like minded musicians.
    Keep up the good work!

I’m looking for an acrylic, plexi-glass Telecaster body in the 3 pickup, Nashville style, configuration! Is there a forum here that will help me locate a fabricator and then help my project along??? Thank you for listening!

Folks, especially new members, please note that if you have a question you want answered to post it in the FORUM and not so much in the article section.

50,000+ people read, comment and respond to questions in the Forum section. While this section has a lot of readers — thousands of them — not many comment and respond.

This section is NOT the forum. Click on the “Forum” link above on the menubar and you’ll see over 2.5 million posts from fellow guitar enthusiasts.

Got a question I hope someone can answer. I just bought a tele that is shaped like a strat, has a humbucker at the bridge and a single pu at the neck. It has a dual volume control and the back knob is the pickup selector. It has no toggle selector. It’s an Indonesian made squire. What is it?

  12. I have a 2004 American standard Tele the nut is slipping. What is the best way to fix this I heard elmers glue any suggestions or should I just take it to a tech to repair?

Anyone have a recco for discount subscription to the following magazines?
Vintage Guitar Magazine – instead of subscribing w/ the blow-in card at $24.95 yr
Acoustic Guitar Magazine – instead of their blow-in card at $39.95 yr
Guitar Player Magazine – rates vary wildly – $12.95-19.95 yr

In the past I found eBay deals for gift-card subscriptions, but not any more.
I’ve been googling “discount magazine subscription” and the title w/ spotty results, as (shock and surprise) hits come up w/o useful/relevant results.

And, for the life of me I couldn’t figure out which section to start a thread like this.
If I’ve posted to the wrong part of the forum, I apologize and will accept gentle re-direction.
    All respect – Deeve

You haven’t even posted in the Forum. This is the Resource section of the Homepage, kind of a TDPRI Blog section. Post your questions in the Bad Dog Cafe of the forum — the BDC is the “Off Topic” section as in, it’s not about Telecasters or an other of the standard guitar topics.
