    Yeah I find I can slap together a Tele with steel saddles if the parts bin is low on brass and it still sounds great. Grab a basswood...

    Here’s a travel Tele body I made in circa 1988. Predates the one saddle Tele design and the Strait Plate by a few years. Worked great...
