This is my custom built, solid maple tele. My good friend Brad built it for me, and then he moved... which bums me out. But I do love this guitar! :) The wood comes from W. Charleston VT maples (about 15 miles from where I live). The tiger maple top was milled at my neighbors house and the birdseye maple neck is hand carved by Brad. Pickups are both Seymour Duncan humbuckers and the two knobs pull out to split the pickups. The only wood I bought for the guitar is the ebony fingerboard, which came from StewMac. Brad did the rest (fretwork, inlays, etc...). It's really (REALLY) heavy, just the way I like it (I'm guessing about 15 pounds) and it sings. The guitar was finished in my buddies auto body shop as a favor. The paint in the back is black/purple pearl - it changes depending on the light and the angle. Very sweet.
