My Fernandes TE-1N

Quite a few moons ago I posted here about a Fernandes TE1-N I had ordered used. When it arrived, it really did need a lot of work, but this cat right here in the neighborhood is THE MAN when it comes to guitar set up, fret dressing, etc. Because the neck really did need so much work (it plays very well not but the action is higher on the treble side than the bass side, and a refret will be necessary soon), I am thinking of replacing the neck with a neck with a traditional Tele headstock. Does anyone think this would hurt the value of the guitar? It will still say Fernandes Japan on the neck mounting plate. The body and neck are both VERY resonant, and the pickups at some point were replaced with Don Lace noiseless. Also considering building a FrankenTele with Musikraft Parts ...

I would leave that 'lil gem alone. I believe that model was made at the plant where Tokai made the Breezy Sounds. They are climbing in value. Hang on to it!
