Just lost a dear fellow musician

Saturday I got word that my dear friend and golf mentor/buddy had a massive heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. Amazingly he lived through the angiogram and examinations. He was taken to surgery where it was found he has a totally clogged coronary artery. They implanted stents, but he was pretty listless. Though he was fighting for his life, after kidney and liver failure, a heart pacer and inflamation of the heart he could take no more and slipped away into the the Lord's arms.

Steve was on our worship team as an acoustic guitarist and was the most patient golf mentor a guy could have. I never saw him get angry or say a negative word about anything or anyone. I will deeply miss him

On Monday I will be playing/singing at the memorial service. If you feel so inclined, please pray that God will be lifted up, that any who do not know Him will receive Him into their life and that I will be able to get through singing without breaking up!

Blessings,
Scott

I'm in prayer with you Scott.

Steve sounded like a great guy, a good brother to have in the Lord.

I'm praying for ya bro, you and all the family there.

Sing through the tears, God will be there.

May the Lord bless you, as well as Steve's family. I know your music will be a real ministry tomorrow.

He sounds like a great guy ( <- note the present tense)

Thanks, guys. The memorial was glorious and very special. We did our worship band tunes and then his extended family from Minnesota (about 20 of them) got up and did some gospel/hymn and even some old folks tunes he liked. What an impact he had on those around him. It made me think about how I live and "do" my life from now on. I keep wanting to ask: "What is important now for the kingdom, from an eternal perspective."
