Happy holidays

It's time for me to say hello. I've spent a lot of time reading the discussions here, and I have really enjoyed it. I have been a musician for about 30 years. It's hard for me to believe, but I guess I'm one of the "old guys" now.
I am a minister, and have held several positions in more than a few churches over the years. I have evolved from the Holiness movement, to a small non-denominational church, where I am happy to sing along with the congregation, instead of leading the church band, on the bass.
I am at a turning point in my life, and I need to get back into a community of musicians, to test the waters of todays market. Soon I will offer some great vintage gear, that I have collected over the years, to other Sunday morning players, that will put it to good use.
I hope everyone here, has a great time celebrating the birth of Jesus this year, and the start of a new year in their own way.

Wecome VapOrtrail.

As I'm not sure which "holiday" people want me to have as "happy", I've decided that I'm going to focus on having a "Merry Christmas" ...and I wish you the same.

Happy Christmas, Happy Hanuka take your pick. I start feeling like an outsider in my own culture this time of year with all the odd traditions, and commercialization. Isn't the "Christmas" tree based on a pagan ritual to celebrate Solstice?
I will be happy to join you in celebrating the return of light, by the birth of Jesus, to our darkened world.
