My Tele + Vibrochamp at church...

Hey Everyone,

I just uploaded some music that my church worship team recorded live and then added some overdubs too... The performances are pretty amateurish in some ways, but I've been enjoying some of the guitar tones I got. The guitars are really up front too. Basically all of the electric guitar tones are a '72 telecaster custom RI, through a 1966 vibrochamp. My only effects where a line 6 echo park delay and sometimes a wah.

go to http://www.patrickhughes.org/ihnsongs to hear them. Ignore the song that comes on automatically. I haven't figured out how to turn off the site-wide audio player for this page.

I'd love to hear your comments!

Hey Pat, - enjoyed the music. We have done a lot of the same music at our church (Vineyard, Hillsongs, Crowder, Tree 63 version of Blessed be your name). I use a Hwy1 Tele and am curretenly using as '78 SF Vibro Champ at church. The Tweed RI Bassman I was using ended being too big for them.

I liked the Reverse delay on Wonderful Cross. That might be a fun effect sometime for some amibient worship times (note to self). I did a fuzzy and up tempo version of that song for easter with a section of the Passion on screen. My wife sings I have been redeemed. I should have worked out the harmony like you did. Sounds good. They have a prominent warbly vibe thing going on the original. I used a trem when we did it. The acoustic sounds good. The wah sounds good with the dist. on Holy. I need to get mine working better it's kind of noisy (note to self).

The recording sounds really good for live stuff. We hate to hear our live stuff back. Can't hear the kick on the drums, maybe it's just my ear buds. The guitar sounds good for micing up a Vibro Champ.

Anyway, - fun stuff.
