Worship Music Opportunities
Hey y'all! our band went on the road yesterday and four of us, 2 acoustics, bass and percussion, played in a house church that meets in a basement on the south side of Chicago. There were about 20 people in this new church and it was a real blessing to be able to worship with them, and supply some music. Next month our full band wil play another church in the area that does not have a band at all. There are a number of churches around that seem to need assistance in this area of providing some music and inspiration, and we hope to be used by God more in this area. Keeping the options open, and hearts dedicated to serving others in this area. We've talked about getting a CD recorded to be able to let others know more about us.

It is hard to find the time to do both the church band and this one, but the "outside church/regular band/not limited to just praise songs/can lead worship" band sure is fun. cheers Matt

Cool!
Our Praise and Worship team wants to get out to other Church's also, to Praise the Lord, and if it's what God wants, to inspire others to get into their P&W bands.
I'll definitely keep the prayers up for you Tom! And if you all dont mind, pray for me too, I'm beginning to feel lead to start up a Worship/performance band. The focus is to be an outreach for Christ, not some undercover Christian/Party band, if you know what I mean! So, if you dont mind, keep that in your prayers. |

Thanks for your prayers Stephen, I'll sure be praying for you guys too. I plan on another trip to SoCal in Jan/Feb timeframe, staying mostly in Glendale. If it's reasonably close we should try and get together. God bless.

Thanks Rick. I'll post it up here when the time gets close. Our band is playing another local church meeting in a school cafeteria this Sunday morning, then in the evening at a Frontline Ministry at our local church doing the worship time there. A full day, but well worth it! Hang in there everyone, do it all for the Lord and he will build His church.

Two Summers ago our group played a "mini" tour into Alabama and Georgia (from Texas). There a re lots of opportunities for annointed bands to play outside of their church but we have learned it has to be where God wants to send you. Sometimes his plan is for you to stay in your church and minister. Just listen and he will provide the wisdom to know what to do.
