Easter songs for young band

Hi guys, this is my first time posting.

I have recently started a band of young musician's at my church (seven kids, average age 11.7), and they recently debuted. The pastor was very happy with them and asked if I thought we could handle doing something for Easter Sunday. I was wondering if you guys could offer any suggestions. I want to walk the fine line between something the sounds "cool" to their ears and yet is still obtainable by young inexperienced musicians. To give you an example, they played He Reigns by the Newsboys and the P&W song You're Worthy Of My Praise. They did quite well, and I was very, very proud of them. Have any of you guys worked with young musicians? Can yo offer any advice?

Thanks,
Brent

Cool! Raising up the next generation of P&W teams!

One that might be attainable, its up beat, and the 4 chords just repeat over and over through out the whole song: "I wanna see Jesus lifted High!"

I'll see if one of my P&W Team members has a recording of it we can post somewhere. I can shoot the lyrics/chord sheet too you too ( like I said, 4 chords: B, F#, D, A).

i think that working with young musicians like that in church is an awesome service. I had an idea awhile back to do that same thing, but it has not yet materialized. i want to call it "Sunday School of Rock" sort of a play on Jack Black's "School of Rock" which I thought was a great movie.

The vision I have for SSR is to let the youth have alot of input, and make my primary role that of an encourager/facilitator.

My favourite up tempo contemporary Easter song is Paul Baloche's "All the World Will Sing His Praises." It's in his song book and is really easy to rock out to :D
