easy songs for beginners
anyone know of easy songs I can teach beginners that are fun and easy. Most of the ones I can think of have minor chords or an odd strumming pattern.

The chorus of Fathers House by Audio Adrenaline is a fun jam. Easy... DAG high energy cool tune.

I've gotten several people up and running on guitar real quick by teaching them Em, G, C & D chords. You can play so many songs with just those four chords. The Em is easier to play thatn a C for most and keeps them from getting bored. Throw in an Am a week or so later and they can start their own band.
Some songs that come to mind: Lord I Lift Your Name on High I Belong to a Mighty God Sweet Home Alabama |
