I like what they're doing.

Finally - a worship band that doesn't lead with an acoustic guitar.

Nice. Wish we had a stage like that...
I like Jesus Culture "Where You Go I Go", at 4:30 the guitars start sounding like Crazy Horse!
Then they bring it right back down. So cool.

Yep, we did it last Sunday. One of my new favourites. It's by Chris McClarney.

If talking about "One Thing Remains"... ;)

We do that, but tend towards the Bethel version. But maybe we're talking about a different song as it's actually by Brian Johnson, Christa Black and Jeremy Riddle.

The JC version of 'Holding Nothing Back' has become a very firm favourite of our congregation - we'll be sinign it this Sunday.

"One Thing Remains" is a different song, I thought that is the one that we were talking about too, until I watched the vid...

JC covers

Great job. I can't imagine the original being any better than that!

They are currently top plays for me...
Some of the guys from the Praise Team and myself went to see them in Nashville recently... they are the real deal...
We do: You Won't Relent as an instrumental in quiet times and Your Love Never Fails is a regular fun one to do...
I want to do Awaken Me

Our MD/WL keeps several of the JC band tunes in our rotation. The congregation really enjoys them. I get to do the various signature leads and riffs

The other say one of the teens came up afterwords and said I really slay the lead guitar in Your Love Never Fails (she is a Jesus Culture expert). I was pretty bummed, I thought I had done it right. Later my daughter informed me that it was actually a compliment.

BTW, there is some other great music that comes out of Bethel. If you like JC, check out Brian & Jenn Johnson, and check out Bryan & Katie Torwalt

We do several of the songs but have to put some life in the time; "Where You Go..." is too much like a dirge. It works better with a little syncopation.

I actually went up to Redding last summer and met all these guys during the worship school they put on. They are all so down to earth and some of the coolest people I've met. I was able to sit down with a couple of them and hang out during the music video recording for their "Loft Sessions" (I know that's Bethel Music, but they used a couple of JC's musicians in the videos)

But yeah, they are cool people.
