D 2
A 0
E 0

Can you tell I don't like thirds?

Be blessed.

sus2 chords

great chords here and there for effect, but too many PW songs use them all over the place. They lose imact then IMHO.

Wahwax...

I tried your chord when I got home last night. Thanks! I can use it on some stuff. 8)

Yes, chords with a 2nd can make for a great transition. When moving from an A chord to an E chord, I sometimes add the second to the A. The B note makes a graceful modulation to the E chord. It's the 2nd for the A but it's the 5th for the E chord.

Be blessed,

Gary

One I use a lot...

similar idea that works...inverted a tad....

E X
B 7
G 7
D 7
A 9
E X

or....

E X
B X
G 7
D 7
A 9
E X

.....then hammer ala Hendrix.

E X
B 8
G 7
D 9
A X
E X

good multipurpose too

Try this out....use that same chord plus 5 on the high e string and slide it up and down the fret board.

e: 5
b: 5
g: 6
d: 7
a: x
E: x

but still my favorite used by lots of artists (try it up two frets too for a Bsus)

e: open
b: open
g: 6
d: 7
a: 7
E: 5

Whoops!

Me not paying attention....that was a D not an A. It's up at the 12th! Still....that's a fun form with the hammer possibilities.

There is a song we do that goes back and forth from A to Asus. With the traditional fingering it was hard to do

I was playing 002220 > 002230

Now it's easier to play 007650 > 007750 by adding a pinky.
