My church band did an amazing set at a local college campus ministry this week and they really let us rock out. It went like this
King of Glory (Jesus Culture) -Prayer Time (with padding in the back in the key of next song) Mystery (Charlie Hall) Lord I Need You (Chris Tomlin) -Prayer (padding) Waiting Here For You (Christy Knockels) Set A Fire (No idea) -Prayer (padding) All I Need Is You (Hillsong) You'll Come (Hillsong) -Prayer (Padding) Hosanna (Mix of Starfield and Hillsong....all out rockin') This was played in a small theater in the Student Center of the University of Kentucky. Very cool little intimate stage setting, worship was great, and we got to play loud and all out. Our band has really come together over the last year. It's been awesome. I also play at a megachurch in Lexington, KY where they make us feel like arena rock stars with the stage and equipment they give us access to. This Week: Go (hillsong maybe) With Us (amazing hillsong song, I get to play the lead lines, very excited) -Sermon Remind Me Who I am ( Cover Song before remainder of message) -Sermon 2 Communion Set: Search My Heart (Hillsong) From The Inside Out (Hillsong) Waiting Here For You (Knockels....amazing song, should listen to it) |

I'm going home to visit my folks this weekend, so I get to sit in with the praise team my dad is on. Sometimes I don't love to do it, since I obviously miss the mid-week practice being from out of town. But the set list looks pretty guitar friendly, so I should be able to fit in just fine with benefit of the Sunday morning practice.
