Hello from BOSTON, MA
Hi left handed player here.
I have an all original 78' custom, with natural body. I'm having it restored locally and started thinking about swapping, hot rodding her a little bit. This site has been great information regarding: swapping the bridge (my saddles are frozen and need to be swapped) bridge pick up, swapping the thin sounding original. Thanks! |

I'm in Somerville extremely West (Malden). Where are you having your guitar restored?

@ soul-o I'm taking it to Jim / Mouradian. He set her up about 8 years ago, when they were out of Cambridge Music Center (miss that shop). Since then I've played this old girl hard and the neck poly is flaking and cracking. I'm at a phase where I know my style and want o shape my tone more. He got me thinking about swapping the bridge / saddles as they are rusted so far he couldn't ever intonnate the guitar, and maybe upgrading the bridge pick up too for something more rounded.
@ Jack FFR1846 - Thanks for the trivia Jim is awesome. Really great guy. Thanks for all the welcomes. Cheers! |
