No Tele, gonna' twang anyway

Hello folks. I'm Mike, 30-something from the Detroit area. I've been listening to and playing music my whole life, including a few years of semi-pro bass playing, and a lot of years of bad guitar playing I also BBQ, camp, fish a little, and read a lot. I work for a big blacksmith-type company, peddlin' iron.

I've run the gauntlet with gear over the years, including about half-a-dozen Teles of different dispositions, from $50 pawn-shop specials to a pristine '81 American that fell victim to the banditos many years back. I'm currently pickin' an '09 American "Fat Strat" and a little Epi SG Special that's sportin' a couple custom "hum-twangers". My next Tele will probably be something extra-special... just haven't figured out what.

I've joined up to learn a thing or two about twang, and anything else I might pick up from you good folks. Glad to be here!

I love Detroit's place in American music history.

Some of my favorite music especially the R&B of the sixties came out of your city!
I feel strongly both ways
