Hi. Returning after a prudent cool off period.

Hi. I've been away for quite a while but I just couldn't stay away since this is such an amazing resource. I changed the name since it no longer applies as I sold my drum kit and now dedicate myself soley to the guitar. May apologies for ducking out but it was better than flaming back too much at the time. (still learning). Anyway, shoot me, hang me but don't take my Tele style guitars away, and I still have questions.

Thanks. It's good to be back. I had some tough times there and had to sell a pile of stuff but I hung onto a couple guitars and all the tools to build more. I hope to gather enough parts to do # 2 before the freeze up comes in November. Slowly working on shaping the block of wood into a neck and body but the lack of parts is slowing down my ambition. I may have to butcher a strat style knock off for parts just to make it somewhat playable so I can continue. The darn thing had a truss rod in it where the adjusting nut was actually welded to another flat piece of steel which was welded at the body end to the truss rod as well. No wonder I could never turn it to get the relief decent on it. So now one of my allen keys has a good twist in it. Nice 3 dimensional pattern though. LOL. But hey for $50, I can use some of the parts as a stand in for some decent parts later eh. It had the name MEGA on it. Imagine!! My kingdom for a set of SD Alnico Pro II's, some decent tuners and a bridge. It's the little parts that kill you eh.

I pared down my collection from 11 to 4. My bass and epi special model are not shown but they are nothing special in my opinion. What is special to me are these 2. My Squier and my "TC Blues" (the name I have chosen to scribble on my builds). I run them through my Peavey Vypyr tube 120 which almost got sold in the fray but it still lives. So there's my gear other than a couple small amps, one of which gets stored out in the wood shed for easy access to outdoor playing which I truly enjoy. So it's onwards and upwards from here thanks to you fine folks that make up TDPRI.
