New Oldie but not moldy yet
Hi Anybody,
Decided to take the leap and join in, with so many forums and social networks one can only stretch so far. The Telecaster Logo caught my eye and I just had to be a member. Seriously I have found a ton of good information here and I wanted to be able to share what little knowledge I have left.
Long time ago back when Jimi and Janice ruled the music scene, I was a part of it. Now I am at the other end of time but still enjoy playing, I even went out and got my first Tele 4 years ago to the dismay of my neighbors, feeding it into a little squire the had a Marshal 4x12 cab plugged into it.
Now I wish to further disturb them as they run their F&*(*king Lawn tractors early Saturday and Sunday mornings, so I have an old 60/70 (not sure) Fender PA100 with 4 6l6 power tubes 100 watts of pure tube hand wired amp, which I am in the process of obtaining the necessary parts to make it a combo blackface twin reverb, one clean channel, one high gain, one ? still undecided, recapped and re-tubed and sit it on the Marshal 4x12. Think it will sound good?
I have only 40% hearing in only one ear the other is 0 so I need to play it LOUD so I can hear it :).
Anyway enough about me, cool site, wish we had these back in the 60/70, but I probably would not have used a computer, no time, we actually spent long hours everyday practicing and gigging, getting high and getting ........I forget.
